Why rent a car in Oujda?
Renting a car in Oujda is still the simplest way to travel at your own pace: public transport covers the distances between the city centre, the airport and the surrounding sights poorly. With a vehicle you leave when you want and stop where you want.
On Loccor, every agency in Oujda is approved before going live: contact details, fleet and terms are checked.
Oujda, capital of the Oriental: motorway, medina and the Mediterranean
Oujda is the main city of eastern Morocco and the natural starting point for the whole region. Its medina, with its thirteenth-century great mosque and clock tower, is best explored on foot; on its western side, the Bab Sidi Abdelwahab gate, flanked by two bastions, is its best-known entrance. The railway station is in the city centre, a few hundred metres from the medina.
Oujda-Angads airport (OUD) is about 15 kilometres from the centre: around twenty minutes by road. Westwards, the A2 motorway links Oujda with Fez: the section, about 320 kilometres long, has been open since 2011 and is tolled. Allow about 330 kilometres and just under four hours to central Fez.
The Mediterranean is less than an hour away: Saïdia and its long beach are about 60 kilometres off, Berkane is the same distance, and Ahfir around forty kilometres. To the south-west, Jerada is about 60 kilometres away and Taourirt about 120, on the road to Fez. Nador, further west along the coast, is about 140 kilometres away, a little over two hours.
In town, park on the edge of the medina rather than driving into it, then continue on foot. The main roads and newer districts, such as Lazaret or Hay Al Massira, are easy to get around by car. For long drives to Fez or the south, fill up before leaving town and plan breaks: distances in the Oriental are long.
Two classic days out start here. The first heads for the coast: Ahfir, then Saïdia and the Moulouya estuary, before coming back through Berkane. The second climbs into the Beni Snassen mountains to the village of Tafoughalt, around fifty kilometres away and known for its prehistoric caves. For Fez, the motorway makes the drive simple, but it takes a good half-day.
Cars are listed in Oujda itself on Loccor. The offer changes from week to week: this page shows the cars available on the day you visit. Nador, further west, remains another option in the Oriental, with pick-up in town or at the airport.

Parking in Oujda
The handiest areas to pick up or drop off a car in Oujda are Medina, Bab Sidi Abdelwahab. Inside the medinas, driving is difficult or simply not allowed: the local habit is to park on the edge and continue on foot.
Street parking is usually watched by an attendant, paid a few dirhams when you leave. Hotels and shopping centres have gated car parks, safer for an overnight stay.
Requirements for renting a car in Oujda
Each agency in Oujda sets its own terms, but Moroccan practice is consistent: minimum age 21, a driving licence held for at least two years, an ID card or passport. Some premium categories are reserved for drivers over 25.
A national licence is enough if it uses the Latin alphabet. Otherwise an international permit is required. Bring an identity document too. The deposit depends on the agency: Loccor offers cars with a deposit and others with none. When one is required, it is paid at the counter and returned when you bring the car back; the amount is shown on each vehicle page, and Loccor never collects it — the form of the deposit is set by the agency.

How much does it cost to rent a car in Oujda?
Prices depend on the car, the length of hire and the season: this page shows the rate for each car listed in Oujda itself, and Nador, about 140 km away, has cars too. The price shown is always the agency's; Loccor adds a service fee, itemised in the price breakdown before you confirm.
What documents do I need to rent a car in Oujda?
A valid driving licence and an identity document or passport. The deposit depends on the agency: some cars are rented with a deposit, others with none, and each vehicle page shows it before booking — the amount, or “No deposit”. A national licence is enough if it is written in the Latin alphabet; otherwise an international driving permit is required. Only the agency can confirm its exact conditions.
Can I pick the car up at Oujda airport?
Oujda-Angads airport (OUD) is about 15 km from the centre. Cars are listed in Oujda: when you book, check whether the airport is among the pick-up points offered for the car you choose; Nador El Aroui airport also serves the region. The form has no flight-number field: send your arrival time through the support channel in your account once the booking is confirmed.
How old do you need to be to rent a car in Oujda?
The usual floor is 21 with a licence held for at least two years. Luxury vehicles and large SUVs are often restricted to drivers over 25. Each agency in Oujda states its rule on the vehicle page.
Can the car be returned in a city other than Oujda?
One-way rentals depend on the agency: some accept them with a return fee, others do not. They cannot be booked online: ask the agency from your account once your booking is made. If you need one, choose the Flexible plan: if the agency says no, you can cancel up to 72 hours before pickup and get your deposit back (the service fee is not refunded).
Should you book ahead in Oujda?
Yes, especially in summer, when many Moroccans living abroad come home to the Oriental and the coast fills up. The region's supply is still limited: book two to three weeks ahead at that time of year, and a week the rest of the year.
How do I find cheap car rental in Oujda?
Compare the cars listed in Oujda: each listing shows the price per day set by the agency, and the Economy category is the cheapest in the catalogue. Most cars have a lower rate for longer rentals, so the price per day drops as the rental gets longer. The total, service fee included, is shown before you confirm.
